Provision of Private Sector Leased Temporary Accommodation Soft Market Testing
Swindon Borough Council is seeking input from the market for the provision of its portfolio of Temporary Accommodation.
This market assessment is not part of the procurement process, but is purely investigative in nature, to potentially assist the Council in defining a specification and contract for the services.
The same information will be gathered from all providers, who wish to participate in the Soft Market testing to assist the Council.
This advert relates to a proposed 'soft market testing' exercise only and is NOT a call for competition.
Description:-
To support the Local Authority duty to provide temporary accommodation for Homeless Households, Swindon Borough Council is engaging in a soft market test exercise to assess the market's capacity, interest and capability to deliver the provision of private sector leased temporary accommodation to:-
| 1) | Manage the 420 properties or a proportion of those within the existing private sector leasing scheme currently run by Swindon Borough Council. |
| 2) | Develop a Private Rented Sector Offer to prevent homelessness. |
The purpose of this Soft Market Test is to gain intelligence on the supply market for Swindon Borough Council's requirements, including information that will help define the most appropriate structure, plan and budget for any potential competitive procurement exercise.
Participants are invited to respond to the attached soft market testing response document in writing, along with providing details of their organisation.
Organisations whom provide a response to the Soft Market Testing Questions will be reviewed and contacted by end of October 2017. Soft Market Testing Responses are required to be submitted no later than 25th September 2017, 1400 hrs UK Local time by e-mail to Arlene Griffin only.
For the avoidance of doubt, no information provided in response to this questionnaire will be used by the Council in assessing providers during any future procurement process, scheduled to commence in 2017.
The project brief is available in the attachments section on the advert on the South West Portal available using the link below: www.supplyingthe southwest.org.uk DN295105
