description

As part of the Nottingham Castle Project a new electricity substation is required in order to provide renewed and additional electricity supply across the site. The current proposal is to locate the substation immediately off the access road on the approach to the Ducal Palace, to the southwest of current parking bays. The proposed location is within the Middle Bailey of the medieval castle, approximately 1.5m from the wall of the castle. The location is immediately above the early 18th century cave known as the Slaughterhouse Cave
