description

It should be noted that this opportunity is to seek suitably qualified individual trainers only that if successful will form part of an approved list for individual call offs.

Lancashire Constabulary supports the provision of nationally accredited courses as an alternative to prosecution and driver education through diversionary courses has been used widely for low level motoring offences for a number of years.

NDORS (National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme) courses are aimed at improving driving skills, raising awareness of the main causes of road traffic collisions, providing a better understanding of

appropriate speeds, improving hazard perception and defensive driving methods

and to encourage consideration for other road users in order to produce safer and

more responsible attitudes towards driving.

The experience, knowledge and skills of the trainer will play an important part in how these courses are successfully delivered.

Lancashire Constabulary is now seeking to create a register of approved Trainers to work alongside Lancashire Constabulary Police Staff in the delivery of nationally accredited courses.
