description

NHS Leeds CCGs plan to procure a citywide Consultant led Community Dermatology Service, which will :-

-Achieve citywide goals to provide consistent high quality services that are appropriately located on the basis of need,
-Demonstrate high quality patient experience and outcome
-Reduce inequality in access, experience and outcomes.

As part of this plan, the CCG hosted a market engagement event on September 28th, and after consideration of the feedback received, the CCG would like to make interested parties aware of consequent changes to our project plans and timescales. Please note that this notice is solely for the purpose of advising interested parties of revisions to our planned timetable. The subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the Invitation To Tender (ITT) when published. This notice is not a call for competition.

Issues raised during engagement, and commissioner response

  • Development of provider networks, and development of an optimal service specification - interested parties have requested additional time beyond that contained within the original project plan to develop the arrangements they need to work collaboratively in the development of bid, and subsequently how they will deliver services. Additionally it has been suggested that whilst networks are being developed, interested parties are offered the opportunity to meet with commissioners to discuss their ideas of how the main aims and objectives of the consultant led community dermatology service might best be met, and help contribute to development of the final service specification. It has therefore been agreed that :-
  • oInterested parties can arrange to meet with commissioners to discuss their ideas as to how this service could be optimally provided. This offer is made to individual interested parties, and all discussions will be treated confidence. Interested parties can request a meeting with commissioners by using the following e-mail link :-leedsccg.procurement@nhs.net
  • oThe target date for completion of final service specification will be extended to 28th February 2021
  • oThe target date for adverting this procurement will now be 31st March 2021
  • Completion of optimal bids - Interested parties have suggested that as the level of complexity of the questions that they will be expected to respond to, combined with the fact that potential bidders may need to agree the content of the responses collaboratively rather than as individual providers means that they will require more time to prepare their bid responses than was allowed in the original project plan. It has therefore been agreed that :-
  • oThe deadline for submission of completed bids will be extended to May 31st 2021, giving all potential bidders a full two months to complete and submit their bids.
