**THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION**
This was awarded under Crown Commercial Services Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System RM6018.
Safety Tech providers develop technology or solutions to facilitate safer online experiences, and to protect users from harmful content, contact or conduct.
An ambitious programme of targeted funding is needed to grow the UK online safety tech market.
Through the detailed consultation with industry and innovation bodies conducted as part of our Safety Tech Sector Survey, we have developed a set of proposals setting out the types of measures that are most likely to be successful.
This project aims to deliver the above objectives via:
| - | Developing our current understanding of the Online Safety Tech landscape, building on our detailed existing research: What do we currently have? What changes do we want to make? What impacts will these have? What is necessary to do to obtain those impacts? What are the enablers and possible barriers? |
| - | Identifying the key ways the government and external sponsors can develop value in the sector (these might include, for example, use of through Challenge Funds, Investment Accelerator Funds and Academic Incubators) and modelling the likely impacts of these support mechanisms |
| - | Recommending an optimised delivery pipeline of support mechanisms to enable that value to be fulfilled |
