The Growth Company (GC) is seeking to appoint a provider or providers of Waste Collection and Disposal services.
The Growth Company (GC) currently has 30 sites across the North of England, with a concentration of sites in Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire. GC's current waste collection is made up of a mixture of contracts and ad hoc waste collections covering general waste, dry mixed recycling, paper, non-IT WEEE, hazardous waste (mainly cleaning, fluorescent tubes, batteries), furniture, construction waste, plasterboard, metal and office clearance.
GC are seeking to consolidate its Waste Collection and Disposal services into a central contract with either, one provider across all geographies, or two providers, one servicing Greater Manchester and one Yorkshire and the Humber.
GC's Main Objectives:
| • | Consistent approach to waste identification, storage, collection and disposal to aid in education and awareness of waste and its correct storage and disposal across all GC sites, |
| • | Central location for waste data including waste transfer notes, hazardous waste consignment notes and certificates of destruction (as appropriate) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, |
| • | Timely access to waste data including volumes, disposal methods and recycling rates, |
| • | Increase accuracy of carbon emissions associated with waste disposal and transportation, |
| • | Reduce the creation of waste and increase recycling rates, and |
| • | Reduce the risk of negative environmental impacts from incorrectly stored waste. |
