description
For all work within the Pond, the Contractor must hold all relevant licences, etc. from the Environment Agency and obtain all necessary consents before work commences.
For removal of the silt, the Contractor must hold all relevant hazardous waste licences and provide consignment and disposal notes upon completion.
Work to be undertaken in October 2024.
Refer to attached report from WDE Consulting dated 7 June 2024.
Refer to pond depth drawings prepared by Randall Surveys LLP.
The volume of silt to be removed is 1,600 cubic m.
The Pond will be drained before work commences.
The Contractor may quote for Stage A and/or B but must allow to liaise and work closely with another contractor if a holistic package is not provided.
A Carefully remove all silt in the bottom of the Pond (at varying depths) and place into suitable receptacles for of-site disposal.
B Provide suitable receptacles for collection of the silt and remove from site to an appropriate disposal centre.
The Contractor shall submit a hard copy of the tender submission only; this is to include the certificate of bona fide tender and a priced copy of this Specification. The tender submission should be delivered or sent by post to reach:

The envelope must be clearly marked as "Great Dunmow Doctor's Pond".
Proof of postage will not be accepted as confirmation of receipt by the deadline.
