description

The Public Health Department of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and the City of Westminster (WCC) have awarded a contract to deliver a Young People's Health and Wellbeing Service across the Bi-borough to Humankind Charity. The Young People's Health and Wellbeing Service (YP Service) will have a primary focus on substance misuse and smoking prevention. The aim of the YP Service will be to provide a range of proactive, diversionary and preventative forms of drug, alcohol and smoking interventions, enabling young people to divert and stop their practice before substance use becomes addictive, heavy and ingrained. Support schools, families and professionals via training and promotional events, install robust pathways for onward referrals and where appropriate treatment support to enable young residents in RBKC and WCC, to build and pursue their own idea of a good life and maximise their full potential.

The contract is for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend for a further one (1) year at the sole discretion of the Authorities.
