description

Ashburton Ward is a vacant ward that has been part stripped out in readiness for a previously planned scheme. After a period of deferral, the works are again in a position to proceed. The planned works include reconfiguration of the existing layout to change from an in-patient ward to an out-patient department to support the relocation of the existing Cardiology department, currently located elsewhere in the hospital into fit for purpose and compliant accommodation. Undertaking of the works will take into consideration adjacent hospital services that include an in-patient ward. The works will be addressed in one long and one short phases and it is expected that it will take around 26 weeks to complete with sectional completion.
