description

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) provides funding to Public Health England (PHE) from the Conflict Stability and Security Fund (CSSF) to improve global health security, tobacco control, to strengthen activities in relation to mental health and obesity in the UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs).

Ministries of Health among the UKOTs have highlighted stigma in the community towards those people with mental health problems. It remains quite a taboo subject and is likely to lead to discrinimation. They are seeking support to address this through an evidence-based approach, taking learning from other countries. PHE (The Authority) have agreed to incorporate this in the programme of support for 2020/21.

The programme objective for the work in mental health is: Strengthened mental health system in each UKOT with increased capability to address the burden of mental health.

The organisation required to deliver this output will need to meet the requirements as detailed in the specification.
