description
City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking to commission the Service User Involvement Service. The service offers peer led support for adult drug and alcohol users (aged 18 years and above) using local people who have experienced substance misuse and who have experience of local services through their own use of them. The focus is on recovery orientated support that is client/needs based rather than organisationally determined. This reinforces the need for co-ordination and collaboration between the different agencies within Wolverhampton specialist substance misuse treatment system. The service specification is for an organisation to retain and build on the current provision.
