description
This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice and relates only to a pre-procurement market engagement event.
NHS England South (South Central) (the Commissioners) invite suitably qualified providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of their intention to re procure a School Aged Immunisation service to school aged children resident or attending school in the following areas:
Lot 1: Berkshire Lot 2: Buckinghamshire Lot 3: Oxfordshire Lot 4: Wiltshire
NHS England South (South Central) will be the contracting and commissioning authority for the School Aged Immunisation service. The aim of the School Aged Immunisation service is to prevent school aged
children from developing vaccine preventable childhood diseases that are associated with significant mortality and morbidity. Commissioners are looking for providers to deliver a high quality service within the chosen Lot areas.
The provider will be commissioned to deliver the NHS MenACWY adolescent booster, Td/IPV, HPV immunisation programmes, MMR catch up and childhood influenza for children aged 4, 5, 6, 7 -8 (school years reception, 1, 2, 3 and 4) of sufficient quantity and quality to prevent the infections and outbreaks caused by these organisms. This means achieving high levels of coverage across England as well as within upper tier local government areas and within the context of populations with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
The service provider(s) will need to be adaptable to any new or changes to national programmes.
It is envisaged that the tender documentation for the re-procurement of these services will be available from July 2017, with an anticipated service commencement date for the school aged immunisation programme from 1st April 2018 and the NHS seasonal childhood influenza programme in September 2018. A separate advert will be published to alert interested parties when the tender documentation is available.
The Market Engagement Event for all lots will be held on 16th June 2017 between 12:00 - 14:00 in:
Conference Room B
Jubilee House,
5510 John Smith Drive,
Oxford,
OX4 2LH

For the avoidance of doubt, the Authority will not be bound by the Regulations or the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union or any other regulations or legislation except for the specific parts or circumstances that apply to the procurement of these Services.
