Gas Central Heating Installations 2018-19 (Cornwall Housing Ltd)

CORSERV on behalf of Cornwall Housing Ltd wishes to appoint two Contractors to undertake JCT Minor Works Contracts for the removal and disposal of existing heating systems, and to supply and fix new, fully controllable and energy efficient gas heating and hot water systems. The new systems will be designed by the Contractors to achieve the design temperatures outlined in the contract documentation along with other Employer requirements and restraints. In addition to the Contractor designed heating and hot water system, electric focal point fires will be supplied and fixed to each property. The heat output of which shall not be included in achieving the design temperatures. Two Contracts are available for tendering. Contract 1 comprises of 54 properties, located in Cornwall. The Contract period is 27 weeks, commencing on 18 June 2018 with completion no later than 21 December 2018. Contract 2 comprises of 70 properties, located in Cornwall. The Contract period is 35 weeks, commencing on 18 June 2018 with completion no later than 15 February 2019. Tenderers may bid for one or both Contracts but only one Contract will be awarded. The intention is to appoint a single, separate Contractor for each Contract to ensure timely completion of both projects. In the event of one Contractor being successful for both Contracts, CORSERV will let the winning Contractor choose their preferred Contract and award the remaining Contract to the second placed bidder. The evaluation criteria for this procurement will be 30% quality and 70% price.
