The NERIMNET (Replacement Monitoring System) project is a cross-government project between Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) which will replace existing digital software (RIMNET - BEIS existing monitoring system, NERIMS - MOD existing monitoring system) to enable government to effectively control and manage a nuclear emergency. NERIMNET will leverage improvements in technology to enable a more efficient and intuitive response, ensuring time-critical advice and recommendations reach SAGE and COBR.
