Printing of The Sandwell Herald
Sandwell Council's Communications Unit is seeking to appoint an experienced contractor to print the Sandwell Herald newspaper in line with its current look for a two-year period.
The Sandwell Herald is the council's newspaper for residents. The Herald is designed fully in-house and distribution is handled through a separate contract. The Herald is printed as follows:
- o24 pages, each 360mm x 289mm, in full colour
- o52-gram standard paper, 100% recycled newsprint
- oEndorse folded, loose (not stitched)
- oItem must weigh under 80 grams and be no bigger than A4 in its final folded form
- oApproximately 144,300 copies per edition
Please note there may be reasons why pagination could vary between editions but 24 is the standard on which we are seeking distribution quotes in this Quotation exercise. Exact quantities may also vary depending on the number required for each edition.

Term of Contract
The Contract Period will be for 2 years, commencing 01 February 2022 to 31 January 2024
Value of Contract
The estimated annual budget payable for the delivery of this application is in the region of ?25,000, with an overall contract value of up to ?54,000. This figure is intended to act as a guide to assist in the preparation of your quotation. The Council does not bind itself to this or any other figure.
