Children's Homes Services on the Isle of Wight

Children's Home provision on the Isle of Wight for children aged between 0 and 18 years of age as part of the Isle of Wight Council's statutory duty under the Children's Home Regulations 2015. Accommodation and support are required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The contract is for a maximum of 4 beds per week. The contract commences on 20.10.2017 until 30.06.2018 with the option to extend for a further period or periods of up to 4 months at the sole discretion of the Authority.

The Authority's previous contract expired on 19 October 2017. There is a tender process being undertaken for the provision of these services. This is a joint procurement and the contract notice is due to be published during January/February 2018.

The contract is for a Schedule 3 service and the estimated total value of this contract is below the EU threshold for these types of services. The market is very limited on the Isle of Wight and we are confined by our boundaries. A VEAT notice was submitted on 18/01/2018 (2018/S 014-029335).
