This Notice is to notify the market of the Contract Award of Community Gynaecology Services by NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU on behalf of NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG.

The Community Gynaecology Services are for the provision of a consultant led, high quality, dedicated and professional gynaecology services, centred on clinical assessment and treatment of common women's health conditions.

The service objectives are:

  • provide clinical leadership, assessment and treatment within a Community Based Service,
  • actively manage the demand for Gynaecology services ensuring speedy access,
  • reduce the number of patient visits via a coordinated seamless Service User pathway,
  • reduce waiting times for Service Users requiring treatment and assist in maintaining the standard of a maximum 18 week period from referral to treatment,
  • improve Service User experience,
  • ensure Service Users are seen and treated in a safe environment most appropriate to their needs,
  • work to locally agreed models of care and pathways for Gynaecological conditions.

The Contract will be for a period of 4 years with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months. The NHS Standard Contract for Services applies.

Light Touch Regime' services: This procurement is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations('Regulations'). Accordingly, the contracting authorities are only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations. The procedure which the contracting authorities are following is set out in the MOI. As the CCG is a relevant body for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement.
