description

NHS Bradford Districts and Bradford City CCG are reviewing their current Diabetes Service and new contracting and commissioning models will be considered to transform care for patients with diabetes. As part of this review the CCGs wish to undertake a Commissioning Intention Event to engage with providers to gain a better understanding of their views about future ways to commission this service.

The aim is to transform services for diabetes patients that will deliver:

  • Desired health outcomes for patients with diabetes
  • Enable integration of the system of care for patients with diabetes
  • A sustainable model that encourages innovation and maximises value for money

The workshop is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise offering an opportunity for all interested providers to help inform commissioning intentions. This process will assist the Commissioner when considering an appropriate model to use to commission the service. When a suitable model is chosen a new advertisement will be published.

The workshop will be held 9.30am to 12.30 pm on Thursday 22nd October 2015 at Douglas Mill, Bradford BD6 7JR. If you would like to attend this event, please email Andrew.creighton@bradford.nhs.uk . Upon receipt a confirmation email, further details with regards the event will be sent to interested providers.

All requests to attend must be sent to the above email address by 15th October 2015 to reserve a space.
