description
An audio visual (AV) services provider is required to manage, record and live stream remote (fully virtual) or hybrid Focus Group sessions (4 weeks) and Human Impact Hearings (7 weeks) for the Inquiry from W/C 14.02.2022. The Hearings will be held using a hybrid model (in person and virtual) due to Covid - 19. The hearings are regional and will be held in London, Cardilff, Leeds, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The AV provider will need to train the Inquiry team, and all participants, on using both an online platform (Zoom etc.) and hardware provided to attend virtual hearings. The AV provider will need to set up the equipment required to record/stream the hearings and also provide live and final transcripts of proceedings. The provision of this service is critical for the Inquiry. It will allow remote access to the possibly hundreds of core participants and external interested parties (who won't be unable to attend in person). It will also ensure an accurate record of what went on is captured for posterity and public interest, both of which are key parts of the Inquiry's duty. The Human Impact Hearings are for the duration of 7 weeks from w/c 14.02.2022 - w/c 16.05.2022. The Inquiry is requesting financial approval for 8 weeks of hearings, including a mop-up week in case there is a surge of late witnesses who wish to provide oral evidence to the Inquiry.
