description
Promoting independence is the process of enabling individuals with eligible needs to remain in their own homes and helped to have their needs met through innovative ways. In addition, this service will be designed to enable early intervention to prevent people from requiring more intensive services and reduce demand on commissioned services in line with the wellbeing principles which are incorporated in the Care Act 2014.
The scope of this Service includes enabling people to live in their own home as independently as possible in line with a reablement ethos; with the provision of a broad range of support services including but not limited to: assisting with dressing, washing, bathing and preparation of meals and drinks.
Herefordshire Council would like to invite all organisations with an interest in the home care market to the formal launch of the consultation process to shape the way services are delivered in the county from 2017.
We would like to develop an effective, robust and responsive service and want your input into models and approaches that can help Herefordshire residents live healthily and happily at home and within their local communities.
This will be the first of a range of consultation events utilising different approaches to capture stakeholders opinions regarding the future service design and delivery.
If you are interested in attending please “express an interest” via our opportunity on www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk. If you are unable to attend but would like to receive further information regarding this or future events please also use the contact mechanism above.
You do not have to pre - book to attend this event however it will help us gage numbers of attendees.
