description
FORMAL EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INVITED PRIOR TO THE RUNNING OF A CLOSED TENDER:
Lancaster University is looking to upgrade the Drinks and Snacks vending machine provision on campus. We wish to use this opportunity to expand the product range by enhancing retail offerings already provided by current campus outlets. Lancaster University is looking for 24 hour/ 7 day access and service to vending machines with low levels of 'out of stock' products and 'downtime'. Ethical and environmental criteria is very important including the energy efficiency and technological development of the vending machines. Lancaster University will retain the ultimate right to type and location of vending machines along with supply of brands and products. Lancaster University is also seeking access to timely and accurate management information of all vending machines.
The University is seeking a fully managed vending service on a nil rental or lease basis, with all risks for equipment and contents remaining with the Supplier. The Supplier will also be responsible for the replenishment, cleaning, servicing and comprehensive maintenance of the equipment, including all parts and labour necessary to keep the vending machines in working order throughout the contract.
The Supplier will pay a royalty based on the total revenue generated from all machines supplied as a contribution towards a profit share and the cost of services [e.g. water, electricity] provided and the rental of the vending areas allocated by Lancaster University.
The anticipated annual contract value (turnover) is in excess of £150k
The University will host a group site visit on 9th March 2023 commencing 1pm. This will consist of a tour of the campus and an opportunity to ask questions. Please come to the LICA Building (North campus) LIC on campus map. Please register your intention to attend the site visit via the In-Tend 'correspondence' function by close of play Tuesday 7th March 2023 at the latest, providing the names of your proposed attendees.
