To be ready for Exit, Defra must deliver solutions for a diverse set of policy and operational issues. Alongside such critical areas as the Common Agricultural Policy and the Common Fisheries Policy, Defra is responsible for resolving issues as broad ranging as seasonal farm labour, bird conservation, pesticides and water quality. The Exit Programme must be delivered whilst maintaining the organisation's current non-Brexit priorities, in particular its transformation programme.
