description

Plymouth City Council ('The Council') would like to invite you to provide a tender for the live capture, and breeding of Thornback Rays for Plymouth Sound National Marine Park (PSNMP).

The fish will need to be live caught in the Southwest, close to Plymouth Sound and then kept in captivity until the females give birth. The adult females then need to be returned to the sea and the young raised in captivity and cared for until they are of a size to be able to carry a tag before being released back into the Sound and the resultant tagging recovery will be monitored and shared.
