description
The University of Plymouth will be looking to acquire a Thermal Analysis suite to service teaching and research in materials characterisation (ceramics, metals, polymers and composites), food science and chemistry. The core equipment would include:
- DTA (Differential Thermal Analysis)/DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry),
- TGA (ThermoGravimetric Analysis)/DTG (Differential ThermoGravimetry), with capability for TPO (Temperature programmed oxidation) and TPR (Temperature programmed reduction),

| • | DMTA (Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis) at a scale to |
permit the determination of the effect of composite mesostructures,
- Appropriate balances and preparation equipment
