description
The Old Market Street Footbridge Demolition contract comprises of the demolition and removal of an existing 6 span pedestrian footbridge and adjoining escalator buildings.
The works will include the following:-
- a)Site set up
- b)Establishment and maintenance of pedestrian and traffic management including signing and guarding to pedestrian and traffic diversion routes
- c)Demolition of the existing footbridge which comprises 6 spans
- d)Demolition of existing footbridge support columns (10nr)
- e)Making good to the Marriott Hotel boundary wall
- f)Removal of asbestos from the escalator buildings
- g)Removal of escalators and all other internal features
- h)Demolition of the escalator buildings (2nr) and external staircases
- i)Disposal of all arising offsite
- j)Backfilling of the escalator pits
- k)Reinstatement of footpaths
