RM5725 SO10004 Provision of External Assistance for FDBS – Accountancy

The Corporate Services Team (CSTT) is a project team within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) that manages the Defence Business Services (DBS) Management Partner Contract. The original contract introduced a private sector team to manage DBS, incentivised to reduce operating costs and improve service delivery. MOD now intends to let a new contract (Future DBS) which will further transform the delivery of services; the form of the new contract is still being considered, but it is likely to involve the outsourcing of the delivery as well as the management of services to the private sector. MOD requires accountancy consultancy support throughout the duration of procurement, starting in July 2015 and anticipated to complete during 2017. 2.1 The purpose of the requirement is to engage accountancy support to assist CSTT in designing and placing the FDBS contract. The contractor will work with CSTT team members and other advisers throughout the procurement process to ensure that the resultant contract provides the best value for money for the MOD.
