Development of a nursery assurance scheme to encourage use of UK sources and grown planting material

The project will develop an assurance scheme for the UK forestry sector to encourage the industry to source and plant UK grown material. Imports of planting stock provides a pathway for pests and diseases and following the high profile outbreaks such as Ash dieback in 2012, there is a need to support the industry to increase the amount of home-produced planting material.
