description

Leeds Shared Lives Service requires an ICT system to replace the current business processes and systems used to arrange referrals, to match carers with service users and arrange bookings and to process invoice payments. The Shared Lives service offers two types of service to the citizens of Leeds. A short breaks service to provide support to service users in the home of Shared Lives carers and a Outreach service which provides support to allow informal carers to take a break. The Scheme currently manages its core case recording, data and management information through a range of disparate spreadsheets, databases, documents and electronic folders as well as Local Authority Financial and Invoicing systems none of which interact together and the former operate inefficiently and are not robust in terms of consistency or accuracy. This system is resource heavy and relies on duplication of data being inputted.
