description
Amber Valley Borough Council, supported by funding from several organisations including Heanor and Loscoe Town Council, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to construct a new National Governing Body compliant single storey sports pavilion comprising club / community rooms for use by sports clubs and community groups with associated WCs and kitchen / bar facilities and with separate officials changing (*2) (phase 1) and two 'team' changing rooms with external storage (phase 2). The scheme is to include paved terraces and perimeter tarmac paths and fencing.
Further scheme details and design information can be found in the following planning applications:
Planning Application reference AVA/2020/0514 (phase 1) and AVA/2020/0961 (phase 2)
The Council is seeking tenders for the completion of phase 1 only, and also a variant bid for completion of phase 1 and 2 as one build project (subject to price and available funding).
The building contract for this project will be entered into following a competitive tendering process. The successful Supplier will work with AVBC under the terms of the Joint Contract Tribunal (JCT) Intermediate Building Contract 2016 (without quantities).
The aim of the Council is to have phase 1 completed in October 2021 for use by local youth football teams for their 2021/22 playing season. However, dates are indicative at this stage and will be firmed up through the tender process period. It is anticipated that following the Suitability Assessment evaluation a tender pack/documents will be issued on 11 January 2021.
Additional information: All project dates are indicative at this stage and will be firmed up through the tender process period. It is anticipated that following the Suitability Assessment evaluation a tender pack/documents will be issued on 11 January 2021.
To register an expression of interest and to request the Suitability Assessment form email the Council's project officer as per the details provided.
