Linehouses Prefabricated Facilities Units

Unitas is looking to commission a Principal Contractor to undertake the following project: Linehouses in Stoke-on-Trent is a Local Authority owned traveller site with a total of 50 Pitches. The majority of these pitches have an individual unit located on the plot which contains a bathroom and kitchen. The majority of these have been replaced, however 8 plots still have the original units (highlighted on the enclosed site map)

The successful contractor will:

• Procure replacement units to the agreed specification
• Demolish/remove existing units
• Prepare site footings and oversee installation of replacement units.

The replacement units will need to be one of the following combinations 1. 8 single units or; 2. 3 double units and 2 single units. The unit replacements should be pre-fabricated, self-contained and include bathing and cooking facilities only.

They are NOT intended to incorporate other usage such as sleeping accommodation. Units must be constructed to comply with relevant Building Regulations, and have a life expectancy of 20-30 years. The life expectancy must be clearly identified on the Pricing Document.
