Sunderland City Council are procuring a contract for the provision of a Direct Payment Support Service. The service comprises of;
| • | A Direct Payments Employment Support Service - This service will support Clients with the recruitment and selection of Personal Assistants and provide on-going employment support. |
| • | Payroll Support Service - This service will process timesheets and produce payslips on behalf of the employer to ensure the employer is aware of their obligations when paying their employees. |
Currently 547 clients access the Direct Payments Support Service for employment advice and support and/or payroll services, 197 clients employ a personal assistant ('PA') and there are 48 Personal Health Budget Direct Payments and both aspects of the service will be delivered by a single contractor
