description

Supported by the Mayor of London, Merton Council are committed to uplift one of the key gateways into Morden, a key town centre within the borough. The project aims to build business resilience, improve the quality of the Town Centre, and to protect some of Merton's iconic heritage assets.

The Morden Retail Gateway project will achieve these objectives by improving shop and building frontages through well designed and constructed physical works, lighting, branding and signage.

The project comprises some 45 properties occupied by 35 businesses along London Rd, and Morden Court Parade, of which 40 properties including 22 individual businesses’ are participating in this scheme. This tender is the result of almost a year-long consultation, engagement and design phase completed by the Council and their architects. We are now looking for an experienced, methodical and cost effective contractor to implement this high profile town centre regeneration project.
