Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) is a Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) endorsed initiative funded through the European Commission ESIF 2014+ European Social Fund (ESF) and “Youth Employment Initiative” (YEI) arrangements. The project covers the Birmingham & Solihull municipal areas which form the areas of greatest need within the wider GBSLEP geography in terms of youth engagement and unemployment.
Birmingham City Council are seeking to appoint organisations for the delivery of the Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus Specialised Intervention Worker Services for NEETs. Within this service area, Suppliers are required to recruit, employ, manage and deploy Intervention Workers who, on a case-loaded basis, will engage with, and provide holistic and tailored personal support to, NEET (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) young people (15-29 year olds including both unemployed and economically inactive) with the specific aim of progressing them into positive outcomes including education, training ,work experience and ultimately sustainable employment. Workers will be attached and embedded in a range of existing service access points and other suitable premises/locations. The primary aim will be to create continuous support for the project participants as part of a seamless progression into sustainable employment (including tapering in-work support). The lots in P314/1 are as follows:
- Specialist support for young homeless and those at risk of homelessness
- Specialist support to known NEETs
- Specialist support to young people at risk of offending/ re-offending
- Specialist support to young people with Mental Health or Learning Difficulty /Disability Needs
