Training for FE Teacher Trainers 2

The Foundation wishes to maintain and enhance the quality of initial teacher education (ITE) in the Further Education (FE) and training sector to meet the current and future demands of the nation's post-16 workforce. We wish to support ITE wherever it is delivered, be it FE college, independent training provider, adult community learning or voluntary community sector organisation, in order to ensure the highest possible standards of teacher training via initial and continuous training for teacher trainers.

We are looking to award 5 regional projects to deliver training programmes which have already been broadly prepared. We wish these to be in the general vicinity of:

-Manchester

-Cambridge

-London

-Tyneside

-Brighton or Southampton

Where there are good reasons, we would be willing to consider venues further afield.

Each project will run across two financial years to allow for end to end evaluation of intention and impact. Delivery partners will arrange venues, promotion, recruitment and delivery of the programmes and provide a subsequent evaluation, with the programme delivery starting before March 2018.
