16-002 Licence for Thursday Market

Rotherham Council are inviting bids from suitable organisations who are able to meet the Council requirements for a license holder for the Thursday Market. The rights to this Licence will be determined by the Most Economical Advantageous Tender submitted based on; Income to the Council per annum base on leased market stalls and the Quality of services that the potential Licensee can offer in support. The award winning Council market section has at its disposal for leasing up to 117 stalls and 8 trading pitches Availability of the Stalls Every Thursday throughout the year (except when it falls on any Banks Holidays, Christmas and New Year). The traders can arrive and 'set up' from 8am ready for trading between; 10am till 4pm There is also an additional option (if required) of running 2 x evening markets for the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr Chand Raat (times to be confirmed) Term of License: - The initial period is for 12 months there is an opportunity to extend this further on a 12 month basis for a further 2 years this is all subject to the Licensees performance. The extensions are to be agreed 3 months prior to the extension date (anniversary of the commencement date) this is at the sole discretion of RMBC. The maximum potential term of this License is 36 months.
