University Hospitals Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a suitably experienced supplier partner who is able to provide a fully managed service for the provision of Resident Medical Officers at their Westmorland General Hospital and Furness General Hospital sites at Kendal and Barrow in Furness respectively.
Westmorland General Hospital
A Resident Medical Officer is required to be provided to cover a 24 hour period, 7 days per week. Currently this requirement is provided on a 14 days on/off shift pattern. Accommodation is provided.
Furness General Hospital
A Resident Medical Officer is required to be provided to cover from 20:30 – 08:30 hours, 7 days per week. Currently this requirement is provided using an alternating rota. Accommodation is not provided.
Key Objectives:
| • | One supplier to seamlessly manage RMO services at all required sites within University Hospitals Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. |
| • | The supplier will employ and pay RMO staff directly, assuming all usual and reasonable risks and obligations. |
| • | The supplier will provide all information to the Trust which is necessary to accurately approve relevant candidates, including up to date CV’s, personal and/or professional references and evidence of compliance with any required medical and/or educational standards. |
| • | The supplier will be responsible for the training of the RMO staff, ensuring any requirements for continuous professional development are met to reflect any relevant changes in medical and/or professional standards. |
| • | Fees will be fixed annually and presented via a consolidated invoice on a monthly basis and be exempt for the purposes of Value Added Tax. |
