GB-Leeds: Z/2978 CIEL Spen Farm Enabling Works Project

Works are to include;

•Discharge of planning conditions associated with the enabling works

•Obtain Highways design approval and S278 agreement

•Site Establishment (Including accommodation, welfare, temporary hoardings and site haulage routes) •Protection of existing trees in accordance with the local planning authority requirements •Removal of hedgerows to form S278 entrances

•Initial site clearance

•Topsoil strip to proposed soil placement areas and cut/fill to formation areas

•Installation of a soakaway

•Removal of asbestos to existing buildings

•Services disconnections to existing buildings

•Demolition of existing buildings including the breaking up of hard paving's, grubbing up redundant drainage and/ or duct runs. Backfill area of demolition with suitable material •Undertake S278 works; improvement works to Spen Common Lane and the forming of a new entrance to the site. •Construction of substation. Order to be placed directly by the University of Leeds.

•Install permanent site perimeter fencing

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
