Nutrient Neutrality Strategic Support

This work aims to provide nutrient-neutrality support to Cornwall Council. Below, we have outlined the scope of work which we anticipate will be required (The detail of the scope and activities is undefined at this point and will be agreed on an ongoing basis to suit the project requirements):

?Advice on replacement of septic tanks to provide nutrient mitigation - This will include focused input and support on the generic methodology and site-specific calculations & eligibility assessments. Some stakeholder engagement is also likely to be required with

homeowners/holiday park owners and Natural England.

Planning application reviews - Provide advice on nutrient-neutrality assessments and mitigation proposals to case officers. Nature-based solutions advice - Focussed input and support on nature-based solutions such as riparian buffer strips, constructed wetlands, and woodland creation.

General support - Strategic level support and advice, including supply & demand calculations and assistance with the establishment of a nutrient trading scheme.

Consultation - Consultation with landowners, Natural England, Environment Agency, Agents, members.

Project management - Management, coordination and invoicing.

Project meetings - Attendance at various project meetings.
