description

CPV Codes 79951000 & 79956000. Teesside University require a company to deliver two free-standing but inter-related support strands. The overall aim of both is to support and enable Tees Valley SMEs to innovate. They should focus on hard to reach and/or non-innovating SMEs that do not engage with the University or its project partners. Both strands will run once per year over a three year period, therefore this tender is for a 1+1+1 year arrangement.

Strand 1 - We require a company to organise, deliver and promote workshop(s) to Tees Valley SMEs. The aim of this workshop should be to raise awareness and aspirations by developing the SMEs’ understanding of how innovation can apply to them. At the end of the workshop, participants will:

-Be able to define innovation
-Understand how innovation process management can apply to them
-Understand how it can assist them to grow
-Motivate them to want to trial innovation products

This strand should also include opportunities for one-to-one assessments of support needs and sign-posting to University and partner support services within the broader Innovate Tees Valley project.

Strand 2 – Requires a company to organise, deliver and promote a programme of practical workshops that will enable Tees Valley SMEs to innovate in order to bring about and exploit new products, processes and markets at the end of the programme or shortly afterwards. The series of workshops should cover topics such as business modelling, commercialisation pathways and launch planning and allow participants, in groups from the same company or as single participants, to exploit their learning to repeat processes and practice continuous innovation.
