Market Event - Recommissioning intermediate care and reablement services in Medway

Medway Council and NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board are beginning the process to re-procure intermediate care and reablement services for adults in Medway. Over the coming weeks we plan to reach specific groups and involve them as far as possible to inform the future of these services. Feedback from service users, providers and stakeholders will be collated and used to develop the service specification. Contracts are planned to go live in the Autumn of 2023.

The Council and ICB are committed to involving local people in shaping the services they receive.

Public engagement is a key method of interacting with local communities, residents, and businesses for the Council and ICB.

As part of this engagement Medway Council have issued a request for information to providers within the engagement opportunity on the Kent Business Portal. Furthermore, we will be holding market engagement events for providers on Tuesday 27th September 2022 using the Microsoft Teams software application.

Discussion topics will include:

• the service model
• costs
• service user outcomes
• pathways
• question and answer session
