Sheffield Hallam University are purchasing a 5-year subscription to the Eclipse Non-Clinical Educational/Research Software for 20 users.

This is training software for advanced Treatment Planning, Image Review and workflow management hosted in the cloud. The purchase of this advanced Treatment Planning Software (TPS) Eclipse will expose the students of Sheffield Hallam University to the most modern treatment planning tools available, including Rapid Arc, SABR, RapidPlan, MCO, Proton Therapy, IGRT image review & Multimodality image Fusion.

The Academic Hub Subscription including hosting services will include the following licences for 20 users.

  • Non-Clinical License Package
  • Non-Clinical RapidArc planning
  • Non-Clinical RapidPlan
  • Non-Clinical MCO
  • Non-Clinical HyperArc
  • Non-Clinical Smart Segmentation
  • Non-Clinical AcurosXB Non-Clinical Imaging Smart space

This purchase will also include

  • Regular upgrades to the latest version of software
  • Helpdesk support for any technical or clinical issues if they arise.
  • Access to the hub community
  • Annual Virtual Academic Hub Workshops -this will include 1-virtual day per year for 5 years and will include introduction to the Academic Hub and Training on Eclipse & ARIA features

It is essential for all students enrolled on Radiotherapy & Oncology courses to be exposed to the newest features and tools within treatment planning software to prepare them with the underpinning knowledge of new innovative radiotherapy techniques & solutions at the very beginning of their careers. The advanced features available within the Academic Hub will allow the University lecturing team to develop and lead practical planning workshops that align with the most modern techniques and workflows delivered and followed by clinical teams in all modern Radiotherapy departments.
