Sandwell MBC - SHAPE Programme - Stage, PA System, and Technician Hire

The SHAPE Programme is a child's voice initiative and holds several events to engage children and young people into positive activities.

SHAPE Your Talent is a talent competition for children and young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities). The event has been running since 2015.

SHAPE Summer Fest is an outdoor community festival showcasing youth provision in Sandwell for children and young people aged 0-19 years old (up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities). This event takes place on an annual basis at Sandwell Valley Country Park and has been running since 2015.

The SHAPE Programme engages children and young people in community events through the SHAPE Your Talent competition and the SHAPE Festival. Both events provide music and entertainment on stages and therefore this provision is required.

SHAPE Your Talent is a competition for 8-19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities) to showcase their talent in music, dance, and entertainment. Auditions are held in six venues across the Sandwell Borough in March and the final is held at Sandwell College in June/July. Depending on the venues of the auditions, a stage, PA system, and PA Technician may be required to assist with music for the acts.

The SHAPE Summer Fest is a large community event held at Sandwell Valley Country park. Along with a number of other providers in the Borough offering youth activities on the day, the festival hosts a large stage and a mini stage to provide entertainment.
