description
Our vision is for all of Lambeth residents to develop a love of healthy, safe and sustainable food. We want everyone to have the knowledge, passion and skills to grow, cook and enjoy healthy and nutritious food with their family, friends and community. Our aim is to engage with residents to promote this vision by:
| - | Increasing the prevention of obesity through better education and the implementation of the School Food Plan |
| - | Increasing the capacity of our community to influence and shape their food system |
| - | Making healthy food more affordable and accessible |
As part of the Lambeth Food Flagship programme, we are looking to develop a social marketing campaign around healthy eating/nutrition for young people aged 11-18 years old in Lambeth. In developing the campaign, we are seeking to engage with our local young people to identify and prioritise healthy eating/nutrition messages relevant to young people in Lambeth.
After identification and prioritisation of the message(s) we want our young people to describe how the message is best communicated locally before moving on to the next phase of the project.
We are seeking to commission an organisation to deliver on the two phases of work described above.
Phase 1 - This will involve engaging with young people in Lambeth, reflecting the local diversity and using a range of methods, to identify healthy eating/nutrition messages that are relevant and will have traction with young people Phase 2 – Work with young people and draw on your expertise to identify how best these messages are communicated to local young people.
The organisation selected will be provided with relevant public health information and support to assist the young people in identifying and prioritising the relevant message(s).
We are inviting bids from organisations who have a good track record of engaging with young people and who are interested in delivering this work. The two phases of work will need to be completed by the end of October 2015.
