NHSBT0991 Provision of Catering Services

NHSBT wishes to work in partnership with a suitably qualified and experienced provider to provide catering services. Generally the service provision is as follows:

North East Region covering Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle. The service requirement for this region is Café Bar, Vending and limited buffets.

North West Region covering Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham Vincent Drive and Birmingham New Street. The service requirement for this is for Restaurant, Vending and limited buffets and Café Bar.

South West Region covering Filton (Bristol), Oxford and Southampton.

London and South East Region covering Cambridge, Colindale, Tooting and Basildon. The requirement on two sites will be for Café Bar, Vending and limited buffets. One site's requirement will be for Restaurant, Vending and limited buffets and one site will require vending only.

In addition there may be a requirement for the provision of sandwiches, fruit and light refreshments at Donor Centres located throughout regions within England.

It is likely that the number of NHSBT operating sites will change during the contract period. NHSBT reserves the right to either add or remove sites during the course of the contract as a result of changing operational requirements. The level of service requirement may also be subject to variation and may include the provision on an ad hoc basis of buffets to remote sites which fall within each region.

Subject to agreement, the service provider shall not be limited in their ability to be innovative in order to deliver a quality service with demonstrated value for money benefits.
