description
Newlon is a not for profit, charitable housing association founded in Hackney in 1968 to provide local people with decent and affordable homes. This remains our core mission. In partnership with our Group members, we also aim to provide people with the additional care and support they need to live their lives as successfully and independently as possible.
We have three key objectives which we are aiming to meet by 2022: •To provide at least 2,000 new affordable homes for people in housing need. •To continue to improve the services we offer our residents. •To help 1,000 residents not currently in work into employment.
Our Property Services department have a requirement for a vertical Transportation/Lift Consultancy service, that can help us to deliver an improved lift service for our residents and perhaps make a contribution towards the employment of our residents. We have a requirement for a vertical transportation/lift consultant who is experienced and qualified to provide the services below within a public sector/housing association context. We are looking for a consultancy practice that can:
| • | give us technical assistance and enable us to re-procure a new 5-year lift maintenance contract |
| • | provide contract administration services during the lift maintenance contract |
| • | carry out monthly quality audits and reports on 10% of Newlon’s lift stock, throughout the maintenance contract |
| • | provide ad-hoc services when new lifts need to be incorporated into Newlon’s portfolio |
| • | give us technical assistance to enable us to re-procure the lift maintenance contract in the last year of the contract |
We are looking to appoint a consultant for a six year period, starting in the summer of 2015 on the re-procurement of our lift maintenance contract and providing other services for a five year period when the maintenance contract 'goes live' in 2016.
