Payroll and Associated Services in Mid and South Essex

Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group have varied the contract Whittington Health Mid Essex CCG Payroll Service contract to include the four South Essex CCGs (Basildon & Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group, Castle Point & Rochford Clinical Commissioning Group, Southend Clinical Commissioning Group and Thurrock Clinical Commissioning Group).

The current South Essex Payroll Service needs to remain coterminous with current provider (Whittington) and not be awarded to a separate additional provider when continuity through closure of CCGs and establishment ICB will require only one payroll service from 1st April 2022.

This is on an interim basis only until the expiry of the current Mid Essex CCG contract on the 30th June 2022. Thereafter an appropriate procurement process will determine any future provider allowing the market to be engaged through meaningful procurement and being much more achievable post current unprecedented demands and ICB transformation demands.

This timeframe will also allow the singular Commissioning body (ICB) to commence and continue with a robust payroll service during the transformation and implementation period.
