Cawston improvements (Marriotts Way)
Purpose:
| • | To improve access onto the Marriotts way from Cawston |
| • | To repair or replace the existing steps onto the Marriotts way |
| • | To repair the fenceline under the Cawston bridge |
| • | To install a Granite footpath from the Cawston bridge to Chapel Street |
Notes:
| • | A new permanent handrail needs installing to improve access. This needs to be installed independently of the existing steps structure, to allow replacement of the latter. |
| • | Footfall-driven erosion above the steps is ongoing and the usage has necessitated a repair. |
| • | Anecdotally speaking, the site is busy year round. |
Actions:
| • | Funding to be allocated to carry out scheme of improvements. |
| • | Agreement to be reached between contractor and Norfolk Trails Officers to approve program of works. |
