description
Abbey Wood is an area facing huge change. The arrival of Crossrail to Abbey Wood Station has triggered other significant investment both near to the Station and more widely across the area.
Wilton Road is the high street leading to Abbey Wood Station and is a key link between the Station and the communities to the southwest. A borough boundary runs down the middle of the road separating Royal Borough Greenwich with London Borough Bexley.
The design and project management of shop front improvements and town centre branding (logo design, promotional ideas and possible artwork) is complete and consultation with the business and the public for Shop Front Design and High Street Branding has been undertaken.
The Royal Borough Greenwich and London Borough Bexley is looking to engage a Design & Build Shop Front/Retail Signage Contractor who also has experience of undertaking and delivering landscaping.
The emphasis is therefore on the quality of the works and how it contributes to the overall 'wow' factor within the Wilton Road High Street Parade.
Whilst the specification details the scope of the shop front programme within the Royal Borough Greenwich and L.B. Bexley, tendering companies should note that businesses will undergo and apply for a grant application to subsidise the cost of the works to their individual shopfront.
A benchmark shopfront is required as part of the early delivery.
Tendering companies are required to be suitably experienced and to demonstrate their ability to deliver good quality, affordable shop front design/branding signage solutions.
You will be a trusted and vetted contractor, who can project manage the shop front improvements from design to build, having worked with Local Authorities previously on similar projects.
Upon confirmation of the agreed design and a shop front grant award by the Royal Borough Greenwich and London Borough Bexley the tendering company will be expected to work with the architect through a novation agreement, who will manage the contractor carrying out the works to achieve a high quality end result.
Payment to works contractors will be made direct through the Royal Borough Greenwich and London Borough Bexley following sign off on the completion of works.
