CALL FOR DEVELOPER EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - CHURCH STREET REGENERATION
Thursday 19 October, 0930-1130, venue tbc in the Church Street area
Westminster City Council would like to invite developers to attend a briefing session, including site tour, in Church Street. We want to share with you our proposals to build on the vibrant location area and secure a successful neighbourhood where people live and thrive. We have an ambitious set of plans to deliver more and better housing with around 1750 new homes proposed, significant increases in quality public space, a better connected neighbourhood and a more sustainable commercial and retail environment. WCC is committed to delivering new affordable homes and regenerating housing areas within the borough and we want to understand how we can work most effectively with partners to do so.
The Church Street masterplan is currently out for consultation and can be viewed at www.churchstreetmasterplan.org.uk The consultation period runs until Sunday 29 October and we will be asking potential partners to submit Expressions of Interest by that date following the briefing session to cover areas such as potential partnership and procurement structures, the scope and scale of development packages and potential timescales.
We look forward to welcoming many potential partners to this event. If you would like to attend please respond to churchstreet@westminster.gov.uk stating your name, job title and organisation as well as providing a contact phone number. Due to the size of the venue we would like to ask organisations to limit their attendees to 2 people wherever possible.
