description
Surrey County Council is currently looking for some support to allow our managers and leaders to be more confident, comfortable and skilled in using internal collaboration platforms, such as Jive, to network and share ideas.
Following the planned training.
We are looking for the target audience to be confident in the benefits of internal collaboration, to understand the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’t’s of using these tools, to see the benefits of such tools and to have some exposure to other organisations who are using these successfully.
We would also like for the audience to see the tool as a valuable mechanism to allow them to communicate across a diverse workforce.
The participants should have some understanding of current business challenges (we can help you with this) and where greater levels of engagement and collaboration can make a positive impact. The audience will have differing levels of social media experience so some support with jargon and an opportunity to understand and address concerns would be great. This should be addressed alongside examples of how, when properly used, Social Media can make a positive difference in overcoming challenges. This could be evidenced with an explanation of social media tools in frequent use, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs etc.
The desired impact of this training is:
| • | An enhanced capability to deliver business objectives through greater levels of engagement and collaboration |
| • | A better return on the investment made on Social Media tools |
| • | Increased confidence in using the Internal Social Media tools at all levels in the organisation |
| • | More people using, and being advocates for the use of Internal Social Media tools |
| • | A reduction in the ‘fear’ of using Social Media within organisations |
| • | Concrete interactive engagement activities that will deliver results long after the workshop ends. |
Deliverables due to start by 01 September 2016 for 6 months.
